Our recent stay with Chris at Blyth Lodge was very relaxing and she made us feel very welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had an extremely satisfying breakfast served by every morning of our stay by Chris in our roomThis part of rural Suffolk is very peaceful and the roads quiet. A pleasant change from the South East! The local small town of Halesworth is charming and with independent shops, not the usual high street chains. Plenty of places to eat ,including an excellent fish and chip shop. The seaside town of Southwold is a twenty minute drive away. A most enjoyable break in every way and we certainly mean to return. Our stay at Blyth Lodge was amazing. Lovely room with a n excellent choice for breakfast. The area was very quiet so it was easy to have a good nights sleep. I can recommend this B/ B and Chris who hosts it was amazing also. Nothing too much trouble. If you are taking a dog these are also catered for with a bowl and mat. We would love to go back as it is so easy to get to so many places of interest. Thank you Chris.

Our first time in a B&B and Blyth Lodge has set a high standard for any others we might use in the future. Everything went very smooth, a comfy bed and clean towels as well as decent choices for breakfast. Our dog settled in as well as we did and the general area around had loads of places to take him. If we ever go back to this lovely part of the country we would not hesitate to stay as Blyth Lodge again if under same management

We had a great holiday due in great part to Chris being so helpful and telling us all about things to visit and how to get to them. The accommodation was absolutely spotless and facilities great - great being the operative word here! We would recommend Blythe Lodge to anyone looking for good B & B accommodation in Suffolk.

Our stay at Blyth Lodge was perfect in every way. From the moment we arrived we could feel the peace and calm of Blyth Lodge. The room was beautiful and smelt wonderful. I had to check the Reed diffuser to see what it was as I would like my bedroom to smell like it. From the very comfortable bed to the sofa we sat in each night, everything was like a home away from home. But in much nicer and calm surroundings. Our views of the garden and our bistro table and chairs outside where perfect. We loved to watch the rabbits hopping about in the evening. Then our breakfast, nothing was too much trouble and it was delicious. It really set us up for the day. Blyth Lodge what a great find and perfect in every way. We will be back , many times , I am sure. In fact we have booked to go back in late June. Thank you for making our break so wonderful.

I had a wonderful time at Blyth Lodge. It's very peaceful, the rooms are clean and relaxing, the owners superb and responsive. I slept like a log and read without distraction. I only wish I could've stayed longer!

Wonderful location, rooms spotlessly clean and fragrant, host Chris very welcoming and dog-friendly! The community field opposite was a delightful and unexpected bonus - a large enclosed paddock where pooches can romp to their hearts content! I recommend the overnight oats for breakfast!

It really was just about perfect especially given that you had just reopened after your sad loss. You gave us breakfast at a table which was great, not sure how it would have been in the bedroom. We would have no hesitation in recommending you to our friends. Best wishes Chris. Brian & Susie

Great host, very helpful and welcoming, very quiet, you will need a car to get around as it is very rural. Accommodation is very clean and well kept. Breakfast is ordered the night before, cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, pastries. All fresh and good portions, there is a microwave, plates cups, cutlery etc in the main kitchen and facilities to wash up. The only thing that could be improved is refilling coffee/tea making faciilities in the room. I suspect the owner did not want to enter rooms that guests are staying in as a courtesy to privacy. Have stayed at this property twice now and would stay again.

I have stayed at Blyth Lodge a few times and it is always a pleasure, although I am usually working! Chris and Clive are very friendly and welcoming, and have implemented effective covid measures. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The local area is very quiet with pleasant walking routes for an evening stroll and the WiFi is surprisingly fast. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We stayed in late August 2021 for 3 nights and were looked after extremely well by Chris. Thanks were due for printing out routes and maps for walks that they had researched themselves. The accommodation was spotless and the location ideal for those with transport. Halesworth is actually in walking distance and is a super little town with plenty of shops and restaurants/cafes/delis. The breakfasts needed to be room service due to Covid restrictions but they were more than adequate. The only thing that I would change is to please put the bathroom mirror over the washbasin so that I can see what I'm doing when I shave!

Great communication from the owner Chris. Very flexible and did everything to accommodate our unsociable working hours due to working at Latitude Festival. Bed was really comfortable and a lovely room. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks Chris

Had a fab 3 nights stay with our 2 granddaughters in a family room that was spotless, spacious & had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. Chris & Clive have a lovely place there and we would highly recommend you pay this lovely couple a visit x She & Kev Doyle

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, 20 minutes from Southwold and close to Aldeburgh, we also explored the nearby town of Halesworth. The room itself is lovely and had room for the 4 of us to sleep comfotably. We enjoyed the breakfasts which were served to the room. The fruit with yoghurt and granola was delicious! We had hot showers every day, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the biscuits! All in all a great stay!

We loved our stay at Blyth Lodge at the beginning of September 2020 for 4 nights. Chris and Clive were very welcoming when we arrived and Chris showed us around and made us feel right at home in our beautifully presented family room, the bed was very cosy and comfy and we had a very good night sleep every night in a very peaceful location. We loved the continental breakfast which was delivered to our room on trays by Chris every morning. All the measures were in place to protect them and use with all covid guide lines in place. Everywhere was spotless and there were hand gels and plenty of cleaning product around so we felt very safe and comfortable staying there. It's a great location to explore Suffolk and we really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to get away for a few days after so many months of lockdown for everyone. it almost felt like old times. Lots of places to visit have adapted to the new rules, the sea life centre at Great Yarmouth, Africa Alive, Lowestoft and Southwald beaches were nice and quiet so social distancing was no problem. Thanks Chris and Clive for a wonderful stay.

We had the family room, which was as roomy and beautifully set out and decorated as the picture shows. Chris and Clive made us very welcome and although breakfast was limited because of Covid 19 Chris delivered as much choice as possible and it was always beautifully presented. We also had use of a kitchen with fridge and microwave which was a definite bonus.

Once again a very comfortable few days at Blyth Lodge, which is handy for my business appointments. This time I only managed one walk in the nearby countryside, because the weather was not inviting. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen facilities for a bit of self catering, having temporarily exhausted the gastronomic delights of the Angel in Halesworth, and the weather again didn't tempt me to venture out there in the evening. Superb breakfast as ever, and very welcoming hosts. I plan to return in June as arranged.

Such a welcoming place to stay. Chris and Clive were lovely and did so much to help and make us feel comfortable. The room was so clean and we were given access to our own little kitchen and separate lounge/dining room. Everything was pretty much perfect. Just wish we could have stayed and relaxed a bit longer.

We had a wonderful stay! Chris and Clive were so friendly and attentive, and made us feel instantly welcome. I love the layout of the b&b and the separate entrance; having the family room situated at the back of the property made us feel like less of an imposition with our small children. The place was also spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious. I have passed your card on to family, and recommended that they consider this place for any future stays in the area.
