PRIVACY POLICY GDPR

This Privacy Notice explains how we at a Blyth Lodge B&B use any personal information we collect about you.
What information we collect about you
When you make a booking with us we collect the names of a main guest who will be staying in each room. The home address, email address and telephone number of the person making the booking. We no longer collect a debit or credit card number but send you a payment request link to manage the payment for your reservation.
How we use the information we hold on you
We use your home address as part of the card payment processing to validate the card, this is done by Stripe , the card payment company.
We will use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking and an email with more details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay.
After your stay you will receive an automatic email from our booking system asking you to fill in a feedback form. We also send you an additional email checking everything was ok with your stay and offering you ways to stay in contact with us by social media or opt into our VIP email list to keep up to date with any offers we have.
We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless it for an emergency and/or we have been unable to contact you by email. We may text or call you only if there is some information that we want to be sure you receive before your stay re access or arrival times.
How is your data stored?
All of the personal and debit/credit card data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, Inn Style .
Neither we nor Inn Style will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.
Marketing
We would like to stay in touch with you to send information about the B&B, any special offers we may have or local events. We send occasional emails to people on our VIP  list. The distribution list is managed by a secure third party, Mailchimp. You may change your preferences or unsubscribe via Mailchimp at any time. If you would like to be in the know about our offers and to get the best prices here is the sign up link to our email.

Guest Registration
We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests.
  Commonwealth guests;
 Name and nationality
 For non commonwealth guests;
 Name, nationality, passport number, address of next destination
 We are required to keep this information for a year pass the information to a police officer if they request it. After 12 months we do not need to keep it for these purposes..



OTHER POLICIES
Quiet time between 9pm and 7.30am
No Smoking.

Dogs
One well behaved dog allowed on request in the  Southwold room  or  Thorpeness room .
Fee is £20 per dog per stay. Please ensure you add your dog to the booking form.
Dogs not to be left in the room alone.
Dogs not allowed on the furniture.
Dogs must not be left of the lead if in the garden
There is a communal field where you can walk your dog, opposite Blyth Lodge B&B

CANCELLATION POLICY




Guests  who BOOK DIRECT with us and not via a third party can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before arrival date.

50 % deposit on booking. Refunded if cancelled up to before 7 days of stay. Balance is due 7 days before arrival. If guests cancel within 7  days of arrival then guest will be charged 50% of booking.

Guests will be charged the 100% if they cancel on the day or do not show.

There will be a very small fee due to commission charged for card payments by the card company Stripe for any cancellation




We highly recommend you take out Holiday Insurance to cover any other eventualities there is an option to include Xcover when booking your reservation.



Check in/ Check out
For guests who BOOK DIRECT with us CHECK IN  is between 16:00 and 21:00 hrs/ CHECK OUT by 10:00 .Normally we can be flexible  for guests who book direct but Post Covid we may not be able to be as flexible because of the extra  cleaning precautions we need to carry out in the rooms to make sure our guests are kept safe. 

For guests who book Via an OTA i.e booking.com or Expedia  please refer to the cancellation policy on our listing on the  OTAs site where you booked.

 For guests who book via an OTA check in time is from 17:00 and 20:00. and check out by 9.30
